The second life of our furniture
What happens to the furniture you rent from Homat? This is a question we are sometimes asked by our clients. Would you like to know too?
So, it’s simple, here are the different possible scenarios:
– Some of them are bought back by our customers; we have an option to buy all or part of the furniture at the end of the rental period. Just ask us for the price of the item(s) you are interested in and decide whether or not you would like to purchase it/them.
– Others are sold on the second-hand market. At the end of the rental period, some of the furniture that has a few marks or minor damage is sent to specialized stores for resale.
– And finally, many are donated to associations because it has made sense for Homat for a very long time. Among the 3 associations we support, there is Les Restos du Coeur with whom we have established a real relationship since we have been donating to them for over 20 years! We help them on a regular basis by providing furniture, bed linen, towels and kitchen utensils. On November 25th, their 35th winter food distribution campaign began. Les Restos du Coeur, 73,000 volunteers, 133.5 million meals distributed and 900,000 people received (source: https://www.restosducoeur.org/chiffres-cles/). Congratulations to them!
